Joint Committee members affirmed the need to achieve results to restore confidence that Libyans can work together for the common good and towards a promising, prosperous future they aspire to realize
TUNIS, Tunisia, September 28, 2017,-/African Media Agency (AMA)/- The Joint Drafting Committee of the House of Representative and High Council of State convened its second meeting, yesterday, at the United Nations Support Mission in Libya’s Tunis headquarter. The meeting, facilitated by Special Representative to the Secretary-General for Libya Ghassan Salame, discussed the Libyan Political Agreement’s articles related to the structures and responsibilities of the Presidency Council and the Government of National Accord.
A collaborative and positive spirit prevailed throughout the meeting. Joint Committee members affirmed the need to achieve results to restore confidence that Libyans can work together for the common good and towards a promising, prosperous future they aspire to realize.
Last evening, the Joint Drafting Committee members will revert back to the two Dialogue committees of the House of Representatives and the High Council of State, to brief them on yesterday’s discussions and prepare for tomorrow’s talks and the way forward.
