Accra, Ghana// — Northern-Savanna Crops & Tubers Ltd and Complete Farmer Ltd have signed a strategic partnership to organically cultivate and export more than 500 acres of white sesame to the international markets.
This marks a significant step in Ghana’s ambition to build a more sustainable, community-inclusive and export-oriented agricultural sector.
The partnership goes beyond the production of a single crop. It forms part of Northern-Savanna and Complete Farmer’s long-term vision to use agriculture as a platform for wealth creation, food security, community development and sustainable livelihoods, particularly in rural communities.
Together, the two organisations aim to build a lasting relationship that connects agriculture, technology, fair economic opportunity and healthy food to create tangible value for farmers, communities and international buyers.
Building a Stronger Agricultural Ecosystem
Under the partnership, Northern-Savanna will additionally provide tested, licensed and serviced organic plots of varying sizes to growers and clients within Complete Farmer’s ecosystem.
This will help them plug into globally-aligned farming and production practices while giving them more opportunities to participate in high-value agricultural markets.
Complete Farmer, meanwhile, will bring its expertise and market insights to strengthen Northern-Savanna’s production and sales structures, with the shared objective of supporting larger orders and expanding market opportunities.

From Farming to Global Supply
The partnership is being driven by Golda N.A. Addo, co-founder of Northern-Savanna Crops & Tubers, who transitioned into agriculture after 17 years of high-level programme advisory work across more than 10 countries, including work with cabinet offices, presidencies, global development banks, funders and international institutions.
Together with co-founders Oliver Barker-Vormawor and Rauf Iddrisu, Addo has positioned Northern-Savanna as a demonstration of what modern, organic farming can achieve in Ghana’s rural communities.
The company has also developed partnerships with international export and logistics organisations to establish, in 2027, an organic crop enclave in the Upper East Region, dedicated to growing, sorting, cleaning, processing, packaging, warehousing, laboratories, and customs processing.
The facility is intended to support direct and sustainable bulk supply to markets across Europe, the United Arab Emirates, Asia and the Americas.
Raising the Standard for Organic Agriculture: Northern-Savanna is undertaking the detailed certification and regulatory processes required to establish itself as a fully certified organic commercial farm.
The company intends to use the knowledge gained through this process to support smaller farms seeking to adopt similar standards and practices, helping strengthen Ghana’s agricultural sector more broadly.
