EPL Ghana Opens Applications For Its 2024 Cohort

Call for applications

Accra, Ghana//-Emerging Public Leaders of Ghana (EPL Ghana), an organization committed to empowering the next generation of civil service professionals has opened for applications for its 2024 cohort.

The applications for the Public Service Fellowship programme of the Emerging Public Leaders of Ghana (EPL Ghana) are open till April 30, 2024.

Emerging Public Leaders of Ghana (EPL Ghana) Public Service Fellowship is a unique one-year professional development program for high-achieving young graduates who have demonstrated a clear interest in and commitment to transforming the public service/sectors through institutional strengthening.

Young women, persons with disabilities and Mastercard Foundation Scholars are encouraged to apply.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  1. Ghanaian nationals with no criminal history
  2. Completion of the National Scheme of Service (NSS) at the time of application
  3. Should not be above 32 years of age at the time of application
  4. Demonstrate commitment to Public Sector work
  5. Proven track record for community involvement and a passion for Ghana
  6. Strong written and verbal English skills
  7. Basic computer skills
  8. Ability to work under pressure in a professional working environment

  1. Certificates
  2. NSS Certificate/ ID
  3. CV (strictly 2 pages or less)
  4. Copy of Ghana Card/Bio Page of Passport

  2. Click the APPLY button at the bottom of the page fill out the online application, and upload the following documents:

o Undergraduate Certificate

o Proof of Completing NSS or CV (2 pages or less)

o Copy of any valid national ID/Passport

4 Essays

o In not more than 500 words, describe your interest in Ghana’s Public Sector and how being selected as an Emerging Public Leaders (EPL) Fellow fits into your personal and professional goals.

o In not more than 500 words, describe a situation where you demonstrated initiative and leadership. What was the situation?  What measures and actions did you put in place? What was the result and impact?

o In not more than 300 words, describe your understanding of Ghana’s Public Sector.

o In not more than 300 words, State what inspires you and why (your values, beliefs, convictions, etc.)
