Mr. Dige who is also RD Global Managing Director added that Mera Group Corporation as part of its international business will seek to establish a distribution base of energy renewable products in the country and export them from Zambia to other countries in the region.

He indicated that the company would target to empower small-scale farmers, miners and other entrepreneurs that are off the national grid of the electricity supply.

According to him,  a team from his company will from January 28, 2018, be visiting Zambia to meet with relevant stakeholders to begin working towards full-scale entry into the market by Mid-2018.

So far, RD Global has deployed units across Lebanon and Ghana with great success. Mr. Dige further says Mera Group Corporation desires to develop their products to suit the Zambian market, both for charitable donations and for commercial sales.

“With time, the intention is to develop an economic base in Zambia which will include an assembly factory, supporting neighboring markets with Solar LED charging solutions. Additionally, we would like to meet with the premier of a distinguished Zambian University to discuss a possible collaboration on the development of Solar LED systems.

With the support of RD Global, a university could significantly develop their engineering and knowledge base in the energy sector. We will lend our equipment, expertise and innovative designs to a department of the University to further develop innovations truly intended for Zambia,” Mr. Dige said.

And Dr. Simbyakula urged Mera Group Corporation to engage the Zambia Development Agency and assured the firm of Government’s support in the promotion of economic diplomacy with U.S. based companies.
