
Accra, Ghana//-UBA Ghana has appointed Mrs Linda Naa Dzama Quaynor as its first female Chairperson of the Board, marking a significant milestone in the Bank’s governance and leadership journey.
Mrs Quaynor succeeds Kweku Andoh Awotwi, who completed his tenure and retired from the Board after years of distinguished service and impactful leadership.
Prior to her appointment as chairperson, Mrs Quaynor served as the Bank’s Chair of the Cyber and Information Security Committee, where she provided strategic oversight on digital resilience, risk management, and governance.
She is a seasoned executive who brings over twenty-five (25) years of experience to bear, spanning Management Consulting, Financial Services, Public Policy Advisory, and Corporate Strategy across Africa and other international markets.
Her career has been defined by leading high-impact transformation initiatives for governments, regulators, financial institutions, multinational corporations, and development organizations across Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Europe, and the United States.
She has held several senior leadership roles, including:
- Programme Director (Nigeria), Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors
- Senior Partner, Vircan Capital
- Partner, Deloitte Consulting (West Africa)
- General Manager (CEO-equivalent), EFInA
- Senior Executive, Accenture
Mrs Quaynor currently serves on other multinational boards, including Board Member, Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund and Independent Non-Executive Director of Growth Investment Partners, a unique provider of growth capital to Ghanaian Companies.
She is also a former Chair of the ARM Advisory Board (Labs by ARM) and continues to advise the Nigerian Economic Summit Group.
Mrs Quaynor holds an MBA from the University of Kent, a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance from Middlesex University.
She also holds an Executive Education in Strategic Management from Harvard University.
UBA Ghana extends its deepest appreciation to Mr Kweku Andoh Awotwi for his outstanding leadership and invaluable contributions during his tenure as Board Chairperson, the Bank said.
During his tenure, the bank experienced transformational growth across all metrics.

Her appointment underscores UBA Ghana’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and progressive leadership within the financial services sector and further cements the leadership changes at the beginning of the year, especially as, for the first time, two Ghanaians have been appointed as MD/CEO and ED of the bank.
The Board and Management of UBA Ghana are confident that Mrs Quaynor’s extensive experience, strong leadership track record, and deep understanding of governance and strategy will further strengthen the Bank’s growth trajectory, enhance stakeholder value, and deepen its commitment to innovation and excellence.
