The mission will help facilitate travels between the two countries. It is also expected to serve other nationals.

The High Commissioner, Charles B. Josob, told journalists at a media launch of the office of the Namibian High Commission in Accra that his office would be opened to all for business.

According to him, with the opening of the mission in Ghana, there is going to be a lot of business prospects for the two countries.

The Deputy Head of Mission, Gabriel Shaanika added: “Until now, The Republic of Namibia did not have a permanent representation here in Ghana. The opening of the Namibian High Commission in Ghana will end the challenges people had to endure to obtain services from the High Commission.

As a member of the African Union and the Commonwealth of nations, our presence in Ghana will also contribute to strengthening cordial relations with the Government and the people of Ghana as a whole.”

At a fee of $60 dollars, the High Commission will offer visa and consular services, travel and tourism advice and also serve as a council for trade and investment.
