MultiChoice Ghana Warns Individuals, Broadcast Stations Ahead of UEFA Champions League Final

Accra, Ghana//-MultiChoice Ghana Limited today once again warned individuals, broadcast stations that they should desist from unlawful commentary, broadcast, public viewing or rebroadcast of the UEFA Champions League Final tomorrow Saturday 10 June 2023.

It reminded them that SuperSport International has the exclusive broadcast rights to broadcast UEFA Champions League matches in Sub Saharan Africa which includes Ghana.

This contained in a press release issued and signed by the Managing Director of MultiChoice Ghana, Alex Okyere.

“No person, media station or event organizer is permitted to undertake a public screening, live or delayed re-broadcast on any free to air or pay TV channel or social media platform or carryout a radio commentary of the UEFA Champions League Final match or any other Supersport or DStv programmes without the authorization of MultiChoice as such conduct will constitute a direct violation of and interference with the programme and channel distribution rights of MultiChoice and other third parties”.

Any violation of the foregoing will be met with exemplary civil and criminal sanctions available under the law”, the release warned.
