Malku Gearing Up To Offer Short Course In Oil, Gas

Oil, Gas extraction in GhanaMALKU Institute of Technology, a leading trainer of middle level technical personnel in the oil and gas is set to introduce short courses on oil and gas for mid-level technical staff in Ghana.

 The courses which are expected to come onboard this month are designed to meet the requirements of lower and mid-level technical staff in the oil and gas industry in the country.

The Course Co-ordinator, Ms Maisie Meggon Howell, said the mission of Malku was to be a beacon of exceptional, innovative and productive learning, and a catalyst for the creation of a sustainable, thriving African future.

“We aspire to accomplish this by empowering African youth with solutions focused on education and training,” she said.

Ms Howell added that the institute aimed to be a centre for research, development and diffusion of applicable knowledge and skills in oil and gas, agriculture and nutritional science.

“Other areas include applied science and technology; special education and disability studies; and leadership and entrepreneurship,” she added.

The vision of Malku is to provide world-class practical education that empowers African youth to combat and escape poverty, disease, injustice and oppression to pursue their aspirations and actualise their God-given potentials, Ms Howell indicated.

The institute’s instructors are industry experts and consultants in the oil and gas field with all the requisite qualifications to lecture the various aspects of the discipline, according to her.

MS Howell was quick to add that instructors are constantly made to go through research and development studies in various oil and gas companies and keep abreast of new developments in the sector, especially regarding government regulations and new management strategies.

Trainings are delivered to meet both Ghanaian and international standards with mastery, accuracy and authority, she stated.

Malku places high demand on the skills set and knowledge capacity of its course instructors and accredited trainers, according to her.
