
Accra, Ghana//-MTN Ghana has received with deep sadness and shock the devastating news of a helicopter crash earlier yesterday, 6th August 2025, involving the Honourable Minister for Defence, Dr Edward Omane Boamah, the Honourable Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed and six other individuals.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to His Excellency the President of the Republic, the Government and the people of Ghana, and the families, friends and colleagues of all those affected by this tragic incident”, the telecom company said in a press release.
MTN Ghana CEO Stephen Blewett added, “We appeal to all to honour the memories of the departed with dignity and to use their social media platforms to promote messages of hope, solidarity, and compassion”.
