Ghana: Woodeck Opens Furniture Factory and Showroom at Spintex Road

Accra, Ghana//-Woodeck Company Ltd, a leading Ghanaian manufacturer and assembler of quality home and office furniture and supplier and installer of quality furniture accessories, today opened an ultramodern factory and showroom at Spintex Road in Accra.

The factory which also serves as the company’s head office is located off Spintex Road behind Coca Cola (KICC), while the furniture showroom is located at the Manet junction opposite Frimps Oil fueling station.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Managing Director of Woodeck Company Ltd, Noble Mensah Fiagbenu, assured the public that the indigenous Ghanaian company is poised to provide bespoke home and office furniture and other products and services for their needs.

He said: “We aim to inspire customers and potential customers with our state-of-the-art home and office furniture that compliment their lifestyles and environments”.

According to him, the company’s high quality imported and local materials blend expertise with the latest global trends in home and office furniture designs produced exceptional results for all customers’ needs at affordable prices.

Competition

Mr Fiagbenu admitted that his company and other local manufactures are facing stiff competition from foreign firms in the Ghanaian furniture industry, but he is confident that his company is capable of weathering the competition storm.

Absence of loans

He observed that the foreign companies have access to cheap loans and other credit facilities from their home countries, whereas the local companies do not have access to loans and other financial instruments.

Mr Fiagbenu used the occasion to call on the government and the banks to support the local companies to enable them grow their businesses. By so doing, they will create more employment opportunities for the teeming unemployed youth in the country.

Meanwhile, the MD and directors of the company conducted dignitaries and the media around  the newly opened showroom and the factory to acquaintance with the operations of the company.
