Ghana Records 8,297 COVID-19 Cases With 38 Deaths

Accra, Ghana, June 2, 2020//-Ghana today recorded additional 227 cases of COVID-19, bringing its caseload to 8,297 with 38 deaths, the Ghana Health Service (GHS) has revealed on its website update.

It added that two more patients died of the disease, moving the total number of deaths to 38. While 39 more people were recovered from the disease taking the total recovery tally to 2,986.

The GHS noted that the Greater Accra Region still remains epicentre with 5,798 cases followed by the Ashanti Region with 1,263 cases.

The Western and Central regions recorded the third and fourth highest cases with 436 and 410, respectively. While Eastern recorded 117, Volta 84, Western North 68, Northern 37, Oti 26, Upper East 26, and Upper West 22.

Bono East region six, North East two, Savannah and Bono have one case each. Meanwhile Ahafo Region is the only region in Ghana yet to record any case of the deadly virus.
