Ghana Probes Ethiopian Plane Crash-landing

EthiopiaThe Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCCA) has commenced investigations into circumstances which led to the crash-landing of an Ethiopian Cargo Aircraft at the Kotoka International Airport, injuring three crew members.

The accident happened at 11:05 am Saturday. It is not clear yet the cause of the accident.

The accident scene was cordoned off for effective investigations.

The three injured crew members were treated and discharged from the 37 Military Hospital.

The aircraft was said to be carrying general cargo when the accident occurred.

Newman Quartey, Corporate Communications Officer of the Ghana Airport Company said operations at the Kotoka International Airport had returned to normal with all flights going as schedule.

He said the NADMO, police, and all other security officers were present to assist in the evacuation process as well as investigation.
