Africa’s Leading Experts Participate in 3rd Idrica Water Security Series

Johannesburg, South Africa – Valencia, Spain June 22, 2020// – Four of Africa’s leading water experts will participate tomorrow, Tuesday 23rd June 2020, in the third edition of the Water Security Series, a meeting of global analysts on the future of water conflicts.

The event will be held by videoconference from Johannesburg, Lagos and Valencia, Spain. Greg Mills, President of The Brenthurst Foundation, Sylvain Usher, Executive Director of the African Water Association (AfWA), Hamanth Kasan, General Manager of Scientific Services at Rand Water, and Chema Nebot, Head of Business Development at Idrica and expert in water technology, will participate in the event.

As Chema Nebot explained, “Africa is a key region that could benefit significantly from the introduction of new water technology, and we want to do everything we can to bring that technology to bear.

The panel will be moderated by Daniel Makokera, who has worked as a journalist, television presenter, producer and panellist for over 20 years.

The Idrica Water Security Series is a series of digital meetings driven by Idrica to bring together the world’s leading experts on water security.

The first of these events focused on Latin America, brought together Dr Judith Dominguez, a leading expert in the field and researcher at El Colegio de Mexico, and academic and internal security expert Roman D. Ortiz.

The second Water Security Day, focused on the Middle East, was attended by author and military expert David J. Kilcullen, and Idrica’s CEO, Jaime Barba.
