482 young Ghanaians have fully completed the online application process of the Tigo Digital Change Makers by the closing date of December 8, 2014.
The Digital Change Makers which is a new social entrepreneurship programme aimed at identifying and empowering the young Ghanaians with innovative digital solutions to step forward and help solve some of Ghana’s most pressing needs.
Speaking about the selection process, the Head of Corporate Communications and CSR for Tigo Ghana, Gifty Bingley said in the coming week’s an expert panel including Tigo staff will review all applications and shortlist the best entries.
She explained Tigo had received great feedback from several tech entrepreneurs who are in need of support to either start up their business or scale up.
The two top winners will each receive a seed capital of $20,000 (GHS60, 000) and the needed expert guidance and support to implement their ideas.
Tigo Digital Change Makers is a partnership between mobile network operator, Tigo Ghana and international non-governmental organisation, Reach for Change.
