Two Executive Directors of MTN Ghana Acquire More Ordinary Shares

Accra, Ghana//- Scancom PLC, the parent company of MTN Ghana, today announced to the Ghana Stock Exchange and the public that two of its Executive directors, Stephen Blewett and Antoinette Kwofie, have purchased ordinary shares of the Company in March 2026.

 

Giving the transaction details, Company Secretary of Scancom PLC, Pala Asiedu Ofori,  said Mr Blewett, who is also the CEO of MTN Ghana, purchased 77,050 ordinary shares, while Madam Kwofie, Chief Finance Officer (CFO) of the Company, purchased 50,00 ordinary shares with previously held ordinary shares of 100,000, bringing her total ordinary shares to 150,000.

“We confirm that this transaction does not contravene the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992), the Securities Industry Act 2019 (Act 929), the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Corporate Governance Code, 2020, or MTN Ghana’s Insider Trading Policy.

This announcement is a voluntary announcement of the Company to its valued stakeholders on the directors’ share acquisition”, Madam Ofori said in a short release.
