Nissan To Bring Excitement To Fans During AFCON

Nissan-AFCONNISSAN, a leading automobile manufacturer has kicked off its partnership deal with the Orange Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2015, aiming to bring innovation and excitement to the continent’s biggest sporting tournament.

Senior officials of Nissan Ghana and Nissan Africa told journalists in Accra that the partnership covers the qualifiers, right up to the finals, starting in January next year in Equatorial Guinea.

The interactive media event which took place at the Accra Mall was attended by the officials of Japan Motors and Nissan Auto Parts-the leading two dealers of Nissan vehicles in Ghana, was part of the firms drive to significantly deepen its market presence in Africa.

The Managing Director, Nissan Ghana,      Subhi Accad, General Manager Sales &Marketing at Nissan Ghana, Imad Antoine Ghorayeb, and Acting General Manager, Nissan South Africa, Nthabiseng Motsepe entreated the Ghanaian mediato disseminate information on the upcoming tournament to the length and breadth of the country.

This, they said would enable the population to be part of the excitement which the AFCON tournament will bring.

The Senior Vice President In-charge of Nissan Africa, Middle East and India region, Takashi Hata noted: “Nothing unites and excites Africa quite like football. Innovation that excites is what Nissan stands for. Sharing in the joy of the Orange Africa Cup of Nations 2015 with fans will help us to strengthen our brand in Africa, which we regard as a strategic and maturing market, and to increase the excitement about our innovative products”.

As the official global automotive supplier to the AFCON 2015, Nissan will bring fans closer to the game with its own thrilling line-up of qualify plays. With public and dealership events as well as its formidable product line up, fans will see Nissans innovation on first-hand, Hata added.

The Orange Africa Cup of Nations partnership is another example of Nissan’s dedication and growth in global sports which already includes the brand’s proud sponsorship of the UEFA Champions League, Rio 2016 Olympics and Paralympic Games, and Olympic Team Brazil.
