Accra, Ghana, December 23, 2019//-She shared tears of joy when the General Manager for MTN Mobile Money Limited, Eli Hini announced her as the winner of a two-bedroom house located in Accra.
Madam Rita Tetteh was awarded for her contribution towards the growth of mobile money (MoMo) in Ghana.
She played the lead role in the first MoMo TV and radio advert aired on TV and radio channels which helped the service to gain popularity and acceptance across the length and breadth of the West African country.
The catchy ‘Minsa aka” advert carried strong messages on the use of the service and highlighted on its convenience, fast, despite the distance barrier.
Madam Tetteh was handed the keys to the two-bedroom house and a citation at the third edition of Mobile Money Agents Awards Night which coincided with its 10th anniversary.
In a short message after received the award, she thanked MTN for the honour done her.
In her words: “You have made me overwhelmed with joy with what you have done for me. I first and foremost give thanks to God. I also thank Mr. Eli Hini, Majeed, and everybody at MTN. God, bless you all because you have always supported me from day one”.
In all, 50 mobile agents took home prizes ranging brand new 2019 Hyndai Santa Fe, television sets, mobile money agent kiosks, motorbikes to tickets to Dubai.
