MTN Ghana has launched a mega promotion dubbed “M’afe Nie,” literally meaning,”this is my year,” to reward its loyal customers.
Targeted at the company’s Pay-as-You-Go customers, the promotion will be active for the next 100 days, from March to May, and MTN customers have the chance of winning fantastic monthly prizes.
All Pay-As-You-Go customers will be assigned set targets on a monthly basis. Subscribers are encouraged to meet or exceed these monthly targets and those with the highest points per target set, get the opportunity to win prizes at stake each month .Subscribers will be awarded points for both recharge and usage of GHC1.00 and above. Customers will be awarded with 10 points for every Ghc1.00 recharge and 100 points for every Ghc1.00 worth of credit used. In essence, a customer is awarded a point for every pesewa worth of credit used.
There will be three monthly draws during the 100-day promotion. The promo rewards will be distributed on a ranking basis based on customers with highest percentage accumulated over their targets .The subscriber with the highest number of points accumulated during the month will win a three-bedroom house, the second and third highest will each drive home a KIA Rio car, the fourth to thirty sixth will win an i-phone 6+ each. Daily consolation prizes include 32-nch LED TVs, Nokia Lumia 535 telephone handsets, Energy/Power banks, Huawei Y220 phones and MTN airtime, in descending order. Prizes are expected to be won by 33,544 subscribers in this promotion.
In a statement to launch the promotion, the Chief Marketing Officer of MTN, Mr. Rahul De, said, “this promotion is being launched at this time of the year to enable our subscribers win life changing rewards for a fantastic 2015. Following how lives have been impacted positively from other promotions, MTN firmly believes that the “M’afe Nie” promotion is another opportunity for more lives to be enriched.”
As part of the promotion, subscribers will be able to check their accrued points via the balance check short code *120#. MTN will notify subscribers of their targets through text messages.

Winners will also be contacted solely from MTN’s official line 0244300000. Redemption of prizes is free, and winners will not be asked to make any payments in cash or in kind.
