In a short remark before the donation, Madam Wiafe said: “Today we are at the Ga Mantse’s residence, MTN to present some items for the celebrations of the Homowo festival. The last time we visited the Ga Mantse, he extended a very warm hand to us for us to participate in the Homowo festival which is something that we do always.

But I think now we are building deeper and deeper ties with our communities, especially our chiefs, and so we came here as a show of support, and as a show of solidarity with the people as they celebrate this all-important festival. So, that is why we are here”.

She continued: “As a good corporate citizen, we believe in contributing to our community, we believe in partnering with our stakeholders, and the Ga people and chiefs are important stakeholders for MTN Ghana. So, this is why we always find it important or deem it important to participate in festivals such as the Homowo”.

So, we are here just to celebrate with the Ga people, the Ga state, and the Ga Mantse himself”, Madam Wiafe added.

So, we presented some drinks, we also presented cash of GH¢30,000.00 and some airtime to help them with the coordination of their arrangements. We are also going to set up at the venue and vantage points to help with customer issues and just to show our presence during the festival, she said.
