MTN Ghana Partners Fero Mobiles to Launch Fero L100 Smartphone

Fero L100 launchedMTN Ghana has partnered Fero Mobiles, a leading distributor of a wide range of android smartphones, tablets and feature phones in Africa and the Middle East to launch its latest smartphone device, Fero L100 onto the Ghanaian market.

The company said the phone is powered by a central processing unit of SC9832, dual sim and memory of 1 Gigabyte RAM plus 8gigabyte ROM provides users with a better comfort than other phones on the market.

Speaking at the launch in Accra, the General Manager of Consumer Marketing of MTN Ghana, Noel Kojo Ganson, described the launch of the Fero L100 as another entry point of affordable smartphone that would allow the network’s subscribers to experience the bold new digital world.

“The L100, tagged as the game changer for mobile phones that support 4G, is superfast and comes with remarkable features at an incredible price. It has a 5.0 inch HD IPS screen with a Dragontrail glass protection and an exceptionally long battery life”, he added.

“The phone sports a 5 MP camera in the front to capture some great selfies,as well as a 5MP rear camera. The L100 is the most affordable 4G-enabled device available to our subscribers, andit remains a stepping stone to many more exciting offers MTN has in mind for Ghanaians this year”.

Mr Ganson iterated that MTN Ghana remains committed to leading the delivery of a bold new digital world to Ghanaians, stressing: ” We continue to invest heavily in our network and roll out innovative digital services aimed at meeting the demands of our subscribers”.

This year alone, the telecoms giant has earmarked US$143 million to fund network expansion and optimization. This he believes would enhance their subscribers’ data experience substantially.

Mr Ganson added: “We are expanding 4G coverage across Ghana by adding 1974G sites to the 475 4G sites already deployed nationwide.We will also roll out an additional 561 3G sites across the country this year”.

“We understand the times ahead, and we will continue to lead the way in bringing unmatched data services to Ghanaians. All of this, we will do because we are focused on making our customers’ experience on our network distinct, while ensuring that the benefits of staying connected, being efficient and being entertained are all available through MTN-powered mobile devices”.

Sandeep Narayanan,  Business Head, West and Central Africa at MiDCOM Group,    a leading Mobile phone distributor in the African region,  said with this partnership they would sure that the Fero L100 phone is exclusive to MTN Ghana.

He noted the newly launched phone is more efficient than any phone on the market.

The Fero L100 which operates on Android system, according to Mr Narayanan, is suitable for the Ghanaian market.

The new Fero L100 phone is being sold at GHC299 on the market. The phone devices can be purchased at all MTN shops across the country.
