
Accra, Ghana//-MTN Ghana has equipped more than 1,400 Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) across the 16 regions of Ghana with digital skills and digital tools to drive the growth and profitability of their businesses.
Senior Manager for SME Sales, Partnerships and Business Broadband at MTN Ghana, Mohammed Abubakar Sidick, disclosed this during an interview at the opening of a two-day MTN Ghana SME Clinic in Accra on Wednesday, 9, September 2026.
According to him, so far the telecoms company and its partners have trained more than 1,400 SMEs in batches.
“This is the sixth one this year. Last year, we did four batches, and this year we added two batches. This is the sixth batch we’ve done this year. So far, we have trained over 1,400 of these SMEs, and today we are training over 200 of them to be equipped with all the available digital solutions and all the opportunities that will be available for our SMEs to grow”, Mr Sidick explained.
He said the company started the SME Clinic training in the Volta, Eastern, Ashanti, Western, Northern and the Greater Accra regions.
They held the last clinic in Accra because it is the citadel of SMEs. The majority of SMEs in the country are based in Accra and Kumasi, according to him.
