MTN Ghana Announces Compensation Package For Customers Affected By Network Glitch

Accra, Ghana, December 3, 2019//-MTN Ghana today announced a compensation package for some of its customers which were by a network glitch in the beginning of this month.

The Chief Executive of MTN Ghana, Selorm Adadevoh who addressed journalists in Accra over the incident, said all the customers who lost their airtime and data to the network glitch would be compensated.

“In view of that we agreed that anyone who purchases a data bundle between December 1st and midnight tonight will receive the same value back.

We will give back the same value they purchase. So, for example if you bought 100 megabytes of data you will get the same 100 megabytes back from us as a way to say WeDey4U”.

He assured that the affected customers would start receiving the bonuses from tonight to tomorrow morning.

The CEO also assured that the company was working to fix the problems customers faced with trying to purchase data bundles, and re-implementation of a tariff plan. While the issue with the momo functionality has been resolved.

Mr Adadevoh used the occasion to sincerely apologize to the affected customers, saying: “First of all, we apologize sincerely for the issues that they have faced. We are really sorry for the experience you gone through. We are doing everything possible to ensure that we resolve them immediately”.
