Accra, Ghana//-20 lucky winners of the final batch of the ‘MTN 25th Anniversary Mega Promo’ today drove home their brand new Hyundai Sonata cars from the MTN Ghana headquarters in Accra.
The winners were drawn from the remaining 14 regions include-Justice Arthur Sardodie; Madam Edith Assan; Madam Sakira Abdul Rahman; Stephen Enin; and Isaac Newton, all from the Bono, Greater Accra, Northern, Central and Volta regions respectively.
This followed the earlier presentation of five Sonata cars to five lucky winners of the first batch of the promo on 26th October 2021. The winners were from the Ashanti, Bono and Ahafo regions.
The Chief Marketing Officer of MTN Ghana, Noel Kojo Ganson, said: “A few weeks ago, we gave out five cars. Today, we are giving out 20 cars.
Out of these are six national winners who emerged tops in the months of September and October; you will recollect that in our first presentation event we had regional winners from Ashanti and Ahafo driving home brand new Hyundai Sonata cars”.
Today, we have winners from every one of the 14 regions of Ghana and this is one of the reasons why we are proud of this presentation”.
With this, we are really bringing to life our theme, ‘25 Years of Brightening Lives’, he stated.
Mr Kojo Ganson added that customers who won cash prizes of up to GHS5000 and airtime were all receiving their prizes digitally.
He indicated that the company was still in the business of doing amazing things and expressed his appreciation to all customers including the winners for their loyalty all these years.
Momo fraud
Mr Kojo Ganson used the opportunity once again to remind people to ignore any calls from any strangers who are purporting to be calling from MTN with strange numbers and asking customers to go to some Momo agents who will ask them to send money, airtime, among others to redeem a prize.
He assured: “MTN will only call you with our official number 0244300000 and we will present your winning prize in an MTN branch with a public event like this. Please be alert, look sharp and don’t get carried away with any fake promises”.
Appreciation
The 20 lucky winners thanked MTN Ghana for always being the best network of choice. “You are indeed a promise keeper”, they praised.
The mega promo is based on usage where participants accrue points via revenue generating activities.
Revenue generating activities include Voice, Data, SMS, Value Added Service (VAS), digital and Mobile Money transactions where fees are charged.
In line with the company’s strategic intent for 2021, which is Leading digital solutions for Africa’s progress, promo points are skewed towards revenue generating activities performed on our digital platforms.
A customer enters into the promo by dialing *156# and select option 5.
The promo which started on 1st August 2021 ended in October this year. But by the time the promo is ended, most customers of the company have harvested cars, flat TV screens, and other valuable goods.
