Local Banks Eye Future Eurobond Market

First Atlantic BankLOCAL banks in Ghana say they are lacing their boots to compete with their colleague multinational banks in future Eurobond market.

According to one of the local banks in Ghana-First Atlantic Bank, they were nursing plans to venture into the Eurobond market in the near future.

Ghana has issued three Eurobonds on the international market which have been over-subscriber by investors.

The Executive Director of the First Atlantic Bank, Daniel Addo who made this known explained that in the next few fears the local would be able to take part in the issuance of the Eurobonds on the international market.

At the moment, we don’t have enough capital to fund such big projects like the Eurobond, he stated.
