Lagos, Nigeria//-Assembly Woman of Ogbojo Electoral Area in the Adentan Municipal Assembly has called on Africans to patronize made in Africa products to provide market for entrepreneurs on the African continent.
Madam Gladys Otae Addo Osei made the call at the 6th Hive Leadership Program held in Lagos, Nigeria.
Venturing into entrepreneurship as Africans could also spur the creation of employment opportunities for the teeming unemployed youth on the continent, according to her.
Madam Addo Osei who is also the Director of Maralitha Care Foundation underscored the need for Africans to create support systems to assist entrepreneurs financially, advisory, among others.
Delivered a key note address on: ‘The fast tracking entrepreneurship development in Africa: the role of community leaders’, she urged: “Africans entrepreneurs to believe in themselves”, stressing it was a high time they took their destiny in their own hands and manage their affairs.
Madam Addo Osei also used the occasion to reiterate the need for African entrepreneurs to familiarize themselves with ICT and ensure the use of technology in their business to speed up their growth.
While advising parents to support their kids who want to go into entrepreneurship and desist from forcing them into formal employment.
