Leaked Customs Memo: Chinese Nationals Export Drugs Containing Human Remains to South Korea

Accra, Ghana, November 18, 2018//-South Korean Customs Service has seized 2,751 Chinese drugs /capsules containing human remains from foetuses , infants and flesh imported into the country by some Chinese nationals.

This is contained in a leaked memo customs written by the Deputy Commissioner for Customs In-charge of Preventive at the Customs Division of Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Seidu I. Iddrisu, in Accra, Ghana.

It added: “These drugs/capsules are smuggled in suitcase and in other medication packages. Some of the drugs are found to contain Hepatitis B virus which poses serious health challenges in the country”.

“Attached is a copy from the National Security Co-ordinator for your attention and further action. Be guided accordingly”, the memo concluded.
