Good News Befalls Ghana As Another Natural Resource Worth $4.9B Discovered In Upper West Region

Wa, Upper West Region//-The largest Igneous Rock in Northern Ghana is located in the Nadowli-Kaleo District of Upper West Region, Ombo community to be precise, few kilometers from Tibani mostly inhabited by Immoula tribe.

It is purported to contain Diamond reserves worth 30 billion Ghana Cedis equivalent to over $4.9 billion.

The rock is an ancient traditional object believed to be harbouring spiritual elements that support the community in times of darkness and calamities.

One can locate the rock 19 kilometers from Wa, the Upper West Regional capital and 5 kilometers after Kaleo. The Rock has served as a tourists’ attraction site in the Nawdoli-Kaleo District with several people trooping to see it daily. They include students and some geographers. It can even be seen 30 kilometers away from its location.

Settlers in the area are however very protective of the rock because of the mineral resources in it. The rock contains diamond reserves estimated to be over Ghc 30 Billion per finding from some geographers who toured the site lately.

The chiefs of the area have however refused to release the rock for mineral extractors stating the spiritual consequences and implications of that.

The rock occupies an estimated space of not less than 120 hectors of land and has a height estimated to be 2,998.72 metres.

Igneous rocks are known to be the hardest rocks on Earth.
