Ghana: John Gatsi Educational Foundation Wins Humanitarian Award

May 9, 2018//-John Gatsi Educational Foundation has won the 2018 presidential Ball Award – Humanitarian category organized by the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of the University of Cape Coast (UCC).

 

The award was presented on 5th May 2018 at Dinner and Awards Night held at the school. The award recognizes the contribution of the Foundation in supporting education and motivating  the youth.

Prof John Gatsi, founder of the John Gatsi Educational Foundation thanked the organizers  and ask for God’s grace to do more.

He appealed to students to cultivate the habit of engaging in community and humanitarian services.

Prof Gatsi who is a professor at the University of Cape Coast  explained that community and humanitarian service only requires the use of one’s talent, profession, expertise and resources to contribute to the improvement of others . Involvement in humanitarian services define you as a leader .

He used the opportunity to call on students to define their future leadership role through community and humanitarian services.

Other awardees include  the second lady Samira Bawumia ,  Samini , and the Pro- Vice Chancellor of UCC  Prof K.T Oduro.
