Accra, Ghana, April 3, 2019//-Ghana government today announced that it would reduce imports duty at the country’s ports by 50%, effective on Thursday, April 4, 2019.
Ghana’s Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, disclosed this at the Economic Management Team (EMT) town hall meeting held in Accra on Wednesday, 3 April 2019.
He also disclosed that importers of vehicles would enjoy a 30 per cent reduction. But analysts said this action by the government won’t have little effect on the prices of goods and services in the West African country.
