Ghana: AirtelTigo Remarkably Receives Two ISO Certifications

Accra, Ghana//-AirtelTigo has successfully achieved two International Organization Standardization (ISO) standards.

The two are- Environmental Management System ISO 14001 and Occupational Health, and Safety Management System ISO 45001 by the ISO Quality Service Limited (QSL), an independent auditor based in the UK.

The criteria for certification confirm that AirtelTigo’s Health and Safety Management Systems as well as its Environmental Management Systems meet superior industry standards.

The Head of Corporate Security, Joseph Ato Insaidoo said: “We are delighted to have received this commendation during a global pandemic; this demonstrates that AirtelTigo continually provides its customers with the best level of service despite difficult times.

Improving AirtelTigo Health and Safety System to the level required by ISO 45001 helps the company to anticipate and control health and safety risks and comply with regulations, according to him.

ISO 45001 Health & Safety Management System primarily protects employees and key stakeholders from harm and plays a critical role in ensuring the safety of visitors such as customers who come over to the premises for business transactions.

ISO 14001 Environmental Management System manages the aspects of business which has significant impact on the environment.

Instructively, Quality Service Limited QSL, is an independent provider of certifications that surveys and audits corporate management systems.

ISO is an independent, non-governmental, international organization that develops standards to ensure the quality, safety, and efficiency of products, services, and systems. These standards are important to ensuring consistency in a global marketplace.
