Accra, January 31, 2018//-History was made on 30th January, 2018 when the International Boxing Organization World Tittle Holder, Emmanuel ‘Game Boy’ Tagoe paid a courtesy call to the Ga Mantse, His Royal Majesty, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II at the Stool House in Abola.
Having defended successfully, the only World Title in Ghana currently, which he won last year.
It was evidently clear that the opponent had no answer to Game Boy’s punching questions until the Referee of the match helped the opponent by stopping the match in the 10th Round. A Technical Knock Out win was declared in favour of Game Boy.
The heroic performance of Game Boy was ignited by his camp who has constantly been up and about with him.
Speaking at the presentation of the Title Award to the Ga Mantse, his Manager Sammy Anim Addo said, they have a lot of faith and confidence in their boxer and are determined to hoist him and his style of fighting to the world.
Former Black Stars giant, Baffour Gyan and senior brother to Black Stars Skipper Baby Jet Asamoah Gyan who accompanied Game Boy spoke passionately about lifting boxing to the highest for Ghanaians. Baby Jet and all members of his team will do all they can to ensure that Ghana gets more laurels in the sports industry, he remarked. Baffour Gyan thanked Ga Mantse HRM King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II for crowning Game Boy with a crystal plaque and for wishing him well in all his future fights.
The Ga Mantse Awards will be presented to all who excel in their works and hail the GA State. Emmanuel Game Boy Tagoe is the first to have received the highest of the awards being the ORDER OF THE KATAMANSU.
The KATAMANSU Category Awards are very special and it connotes with very high achievements as has been done by Game Boy.
The Game Boy entourage was accompanied by a brass band from the offices of Accra Metropolitan Authority through HOT FM, UTC, Makola, other principal streets of Accra to the Stool House to meet the GA Mantse and Principal Elders of the Ga Paramount Stool Dsase.
