Fastest Rising Edtech Startup, uLesson Launches Learning App In Ghana

Accra, Ghana//-uLesson Education Limited, Africa’s fastest rising edtech startup has launched an application which offers students in Ghana a comprehensive curriculum-relevant learning experience in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Basic Science, English, Basic Technology, among others.

The app, uLesson, allows students in Ghana in Primary 4 to 6; Junior High School (JHS 1 to 3); and Senior High School (SHS 1 to 3) prepare for critical regional exams such as West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), and Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE) as well as international tests.

Speaking at the media launch in Accra, the Sales Manager for West Africa at uLesson Education Limited, Oladayo Popoola, said the uLesson uses a simple and personalised approach to learning, leveraging quality lesson plans from the best tutors to amplify each student’s learning ability.

This he noted is encouraging deep and continued learning for students across all the various categories of education.

Mr Popoola told the journalists that the learning content from the app is planned, executed and reviewed by subject matter experts using videos, interactive animations, quizzes, assessments and several years of official WAEC past examinations along with solutions.

To this end, he was emphatic that the app had been built to help students learn and maximize their academic potential at the comfort of their homes anytime.

“The app’s personalised learning approach, the depth of our content, and our service which allows users to request free counselor visits from uLesson set us apart.

“We also go a step further to provide analytics and data reporting for parents and guardians to monitor their child’s academic growth and guide them to optimize their learning experience,” he said.

“uLesson is the first of its kind in Ghana and even in Africa. We have leveraged technology to provide a learning solution that is of high-quality, affordable and accessible to all irrespective of the locations”, Mr Popoola emphasized.

uLesson is creating a platform to revolutionise the way students learn and study for their exams in Ghana, Nigeria and across Africa.

Users or parents and guardians can subscribe for their children for a month, quarterly and yearly and pay Ghc55, Ghc160, and Ghc350 respectively. They can pay via the app or website with a debit/credit card, mobile money, bank transfer, and physical scratch cards available at uLesson approved stores.

While the uLesson app is available for free download on Google Play, App Store, among others.
