Paris, France//-From 26 to 28 November 2026, EQUIP AUTO will hold its first-ever event in Sub-Saharan Africa at the Parc des Expositions d’Abidjan.
This new regional event will bring together all stakeholders from the automotive, aftermarket, mobility and industrial vehicle sectors, with 150 exhibitors and brands and 10,000 visitors expected to attend.
After 50 years of history and development serving the automotive industry, EQUIP AUTO is taking a new step in its international expansion with the launch of EQUIP AUTO Côte d’Ivoire.
Taking place from 26 to 28 November 2026 at the Parc des Expositions d’Abidjan, the event aims to become a leading platform for automotive and mobility professionals in West Africa, against a backdrop of growing vehicle fleets, expanding distribution and repair networks, and modernising infrastructure.
For this first edition, 150 exhibitors and brands, 10,000 trade and general public visitors and 7,000 sqm of exhibition space are expected over three days.
An ambition extending far beyond Côte d’Ivoire
From the outset, EQUIP AUTO Côte d’Ivoire has been designed as an Ivorian, sub-regional and international event.
With a consumer market of more than 450 million people across ECOWAS, Abidjan enjoys a strategic position from which to connect local and regional stakeholders with international manufacturers, equipment suppliers, distributors and solution providers.
The event therefore aims to foster business opportunities and partnerships, facilitate access to international technologies and expertise, and support the professionalisation and structuring of the West African automotive industry.
This regional dimension is already reflected in promotional and outreach initiatives carried out in Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Burkina Faso and Benin, with the support of professional, institutional and economic organisations in these different markets. This momentum will continue in Benin, where a breakfast presentation of EQUIP AUTO Côte d’Ivoire will be held on 8 September for local industry stakeholders.
An offering covering the entire value chain
EQUIP AUTO Côte d’Ivoire will bring together the various sectors and professions currently driving the transformation of mobility: passenger car, light commercial vehicle and heavy-duty vehicle manufacturers; automotive equipment suppliers; spare parts; tyres; lubricants; workshop equipment; diagnostics and tools; body repair; distribution and repair networks; vehicle inspection; digital solutions; energy and charging infrastructure; used vehicles; remanufacturing and recycling; as well as financing, insurance and infrastructure providers.
The scope of the event will also extend to agricultural machinery, construction equipment and transport, reflecting the specific needs and characteristics of the region’s economies.
Several international and regional companies and brands have already confirmed their participation, including Bosch, Bardahl, CFAO-Winpart, Varta, Facom, Gates, KYB, Mecafilter, Nexus International, Purflux, Quipux Afrique, Stanley Black & Decker, UFI Filters and Valeo.
Much more than a trade show: an experience built around skills and expertise
For its first edition, EQUIP AUTO Côte d’Ivoire will offer a format combining exhibition, B2B meetings, conferences, training sessions, demonstrations and dynamic test drives.
Key highlights will include:
- the Experience Village, dedicated to demonstrations and tests involving passenger cars, light commercial vehicles, heavy-duty vehicles, agricultural machinery and construction equipment;
- a conference programme addressing the major challenges facing the automotive and mobility sectors in West Africa;
- the EQUIP AUTO Africa Awards, recognising companies and initiatives contributing to innovation and to the development of the automotive and mobility sectors in Africa;
- a gala evening, to be held on 27 November at the Residence of the French Ambassador in Abidjan.
The programme has been designed to combine hands-on experience, knowledge sharing, professional and institutional networking, and the promotion of African initiatives.
Conferences addressing the industry’s key transformation challenges
The conference programme will focus on three main areas: environment and sustainable development, the modernisation of transport and new mobility solutions, and the professionalisation of the automotive sector.
Topics will include vehicle fleet modernisation, end-of-life vehicle management, electric mobility and new energy sources, maintenance quality and road safety, the modernisation of freight and passenger transport, industrial development of the sector, the fight against counterfeiting and consumer protection, as well as opportunities arising from the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
EQUIP AUTO Africa Awards: showcasing African initiatives
Another major new feature of this first edition, the EQUIP AUTO Africa Awards will recognise companies and initiatives contributing to innovation and to the development of the automotive and mobility sectors across the continent.
The winners will be honoured during the gala evening on 27 November 2026, making the Awards a key moment for recognising and highlighting the stakeholders helping to transform Africa’s automotive industry.
An event supporting the development of the industry
Through EQUIP AUTO Côte d’Ivoire, the EQUIP AUTO brand aims to create a genuine meeting point between African markets and the international automotive ecosystem: manufacturers, distributors, repair professionals, fleet managers, transport operators, agricultural and construction-sector stakeholders, investors, institutions and public decision-makers.
An ambition summed up by the promise of this first edition: to bring the automotive and mobility industry in West Africa to life, to train, connect and showcase its stakeholders.
