Ramadan is a sacred period devoted to prayer, reflection, sacrifice and service to humanity. We thank Allah for granting the Ummah a peaceful and spiritually fulfilling Ramadan.

MTN and MoMo customer engagement stands
As part of enhancing the Eid al-Fitr celebration, MTN and MoMo will deploy customer engagement stands at selected vantage points to resolve customer issues, register customers for Mobile Money, process MoMo transactions, and provide important education on Mobile Money fraud prevention.
Mr Misto and his team indicated that these gestures are their way of expressing appreciation to the Muslim community for their continued loyalty, support and partnership with MTN and MML over the years.
This year is particularly special for us as MTN Ghana celebrates 30 years of connecting and serving the people of Ghana. Throughout these three decades, the Muslim community has played an important role in our journey of growth and impact.
“We also take this opportunity to acknowledge Your Eminence for your unwavering leadership and your tireless efforts in promoting peace, tolerance and interfaith harmony in Ghana. Your wisdom and guidance continue to inspire unity and contribute immensely to the stability and progress of our nation.
MTN remains deeply grateful for your prayers, support and the warm relationship we have enjoyed with the Muslim community over the years.”
As we approach the celebration of Eid al-Fitr, we ask that Allah accept all our prayers, sacrifices and acts of devotion throughout Ramadan. May He continue to bless Your Eminence with enduring strength, wisdom and good health.
We also pray that Allah bestows peace and prosperity upon our families, our communities and our beloved nation, he praised.
Chief Imam prays for MTN
In a short speech, the National Chief Imam, His Eminence Sheikh Dr Usumanu Nuhu Sharubutu, thanked MTN Ghana and MobileMoney LTD for their continuous support and prayed for Allah’s abundant blessings for the companies and their management and staff.
In his own words: “Your life in its entirety is blessed by God. May Allah not cause you to be tired of these gestures that you have undertaken. We are grateful to you. Whoever is not grateful to human beings can never be grateful to God”.
For 17 consistent years, MTN Ghana has supported the Chief Imam during Eidul Fitr celebrations by way of donations and organising key events in Nima and Accra New Town, all to foster peaceful coexistence in the communities.
Similarly, the company has been supporting the National Hajj Board annually in the organisation of the pilgrimage to Mecca.
Later, Imams and Elders of the Muslim community received the items on behalf of the National Chief Imam and the Muslim community.
