Confirmed Coronavirus Cases in Ghana Rises to 6

Accra, March 15, 2020//-Ghana’s Ministry of Health announced that four new cases of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) have been confirmed in Ghana, bringing the total number of cases to six in the country.

The new four cases were confirmed on 14th March 2020,  according to the Director of Public Health at the Ghana Health Service, Dr Badu Sarkodie .

In a televised addressed this afternoon, he said these new cases like the previous two were imported into the county.

Three of the new cases were recorded in Accra while one other was recorded in the Ashanti Region, Dr Sarkodie added.

The spread of coronavirus known as COVID-19 which is moving quickly from China to 156 more countries worldwide has heightened geopolitical and trade tensions. This could drive the world to the brink of a global recession this year, experts warned.
