This pioneering initiative is set to equip Africa’s youth with the knowledge and resources needed for a safer, more inclusive digital future.
Empowering Africa’s Next Generation in the Digital Age
Under the theme –“Digital Citizenship: Educating an African Fit for the 21st Century”, ASID 2025 underscores the importance of fostering responsible digital engagement among young people, parents, and educators, according to the Executive Director of Child Online Africa, Mrs Awo Aidam Amenyah said.
Rooted in the principles of the global Safer Internet Day (SID), the African Union’s Agenda 2063, and SDG4’s vision for resilient education systems, this initiative is tailored to address the unique opportunities and challenges within Africa’s digital landscape, she added.
A Call to Action for Digital Empowerment
ASID 2025 is more than just an event—it is a transformative movement bringing together key stakeholders to drive meaningful change across the continent. Through workshops, awareness campaigns, and collaborative engagements, ASID 2025 will champion the principles of Digital Citizenship, ensuring Africa’s youth are equipped to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital world.
