Chamber for Tourism Ghana Appoints New Chief Operating Officer

Accra, Ghana, July 27, 2020//-Chamber for Tourism Industry Ghana (CTI Ghana) has appointed Ms Angela Akua Asante as its Chief Operating Officer (COO).

 This position is key to continuing to improve CTI’s operational effectiveness.

As the second-in-command at CTI Ghana after CEO Prince Ntiamoah Boampong, Ms Asante will be responsible for running the Chamber’s projects, communications, social media content and campaigns, managing partnerships, and hosting conferences accommodating both Francophones and Anglophones.

Known as “Triple A” due to her initials, the young Ghanaian entrepreneur who is also the founder of audiovisual content company TITA Productions brings in 12 years of experience in online brand management, and mentorship thanks to her record as the Head of Digital Content and Social Media at America’s biggest soccer broadcast listings portal, Live Soccer TV.

The coverage of four World Cups in the last seven years pre-COVID-19 across men’s, women’s and youth tournaments — namely the 2012 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Azerbaijan, the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada, the 2018 FIFA Men’s World Cup in Russia, and the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France — feature on Ms. Asante’s impressive profile.

In addition, AAA’s 5-year spell as BBC Afrique’s only French speaking Ghana-based correspondent for the “Multisports” show, as well as her presence on major French-speaking media platforms such as Radio France Internationale, offers CTI Ghana the weight it needs to establish contact and collaborate with Ghana’s Francophone neighbors and French institutions.

Beyond her background in the realms of media, sports, and events which the Ghanaian tourism sector aims to tap into, Ms Asante possesses a network in agribusiness and trade through her affiliation with award-winning export company Organic Trade & Investments.
