Accra, July 01, 2017//- Binatone Ghana, a leading electronic giant has presented food items to the National Skate Soccer team, the Rolling Rockets, to celebrate the celebration of end of Ramadan called Eidul Fitr.
The company which sponsors the skate soccer in the country, donated each member of the team with rice, oil, meat and tomato paste to celebrate the end of their one month fasting and prayers.
Presenting the items at a short ceremony at Abossey Okai in Accra, the Managing Director of Binatone Ghana, Venu Babu, explained that the company’s gesture was to encourage the team, most of whom are Muslims, after their successful observation of the Ramadan.
He noted that they were keen on taking the sports to a different level so as to prevent the under-privileged disabled athletes from begging on the streets of Accra and other cities of the country.
Mr Babu stressed:“These are little tokens from us to you and we believe it will help you mark and celebrate the end of Ramadan. My outfit will do everything possible to develop skate soccer in the country as we have been doing already”.
Receiving the items, the president of the International Federation of Skate Soccer (IFSS), Albert Frimpong thanked Binatone for their continuous support to the sport since they decided to help promote it in the country.
The captain of the Rolling Rockets, Ahmed Gariba, also expressed the team’s gratitude to Binatone for their gesture and immeasurable support, saying it would help motivate them to do more for the country.
