BEIGE Capital, NCR Seal ATM Services Deal

ATMBEIGE Capital, a leading non-banking financial institution in Ghana has signed an agreement with NCR Ghana Ltd, an award winning tech firm to roll-out Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs) across the country.

The move which forms part of BEIGE Capital’s growth strategy in providing banking services aims at making customer transactions more convenient and flexible.

The agreement, which is in line with the strategic growth plan of BEIGE Capital, was announced at the bank’s second quarterly Board Meeting held at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi this year.

Announcing this partnership, Mr. Samuel Osew-Kwatia, Chief Operating Officer(COO) of BEIGE Capital said; “This deal will propel our drive to increase our customer base and also facilitate our intention to provide E-Banking and related services to our clients”.

Customers of BEIGE Capital will experience the full functionalities of the new NCR SelfServ™ 34 ATM. The NCR SelfServ 34 is an exterior through-the-wall ATM, specifically designed for high transaction usage. It dispenses cash and is upgradable to accept deposits.

It offers a broad range of other services, such as bill payments, money transfer, mobile phone top-up and mini-statements. The NCR SelfServ™ 34 gives you the widest range of upgrade options available, including bulk and single cash and check deposits, check imaging and truncation as well as cash recycling. It can even be extended to offer the largest cash dispensing capacity on the market.

Mr. Osew-Kwatia, also outlined the bank’s preparedness for the implementation and added, “we have extensively engaged NCR in planning the deployment schedule to ensure a seamless process and we are pleased with the quality of work so far. Forty(40) ATMs will be made operational at various BEIGE Capital branches in the country. Ten(10) of these ATMs have already been installed.”

The Managing Director of NCR Ghana Ltd, Mr. Teddy Osae added that “NCR is impressed with the growth and success of Beige Capital. We are very proud to partner a home grown institution fully owned and led by Ghanaians.” He gave the assurance that the time table for the roll-out of the ATMs is set within an achievable timeframe, agreed with Beige Capital.

Mr. Osae confirmed that, the contract effectively covers keeping up with servicing and maintenance, to ensure uninterrupted services.

NCR Ghana Ltd is a subsidiary of NCR Corporation in the United States, which provides the only ATM and Branch Transformation Solutions endorsed by the American Bankers Association through its subsidiary, the Corporation for American Banking.
