aYo Ghana Wins  Two Industry Awards

Accra, Ghana//-A leading micro-insurance company, aYo Intermediaries Ghana, has been recognised for its leadership role in the growing mobile insurance sector.

On Friday March 24, 2023, the company picked up the Mobile Insurance Leadership Award at the Ghana Finance Focus and Awards ceremony in Accra.

The CEO of aYo Intermediaries, Francis Gota was also awarded the Mobile Insurance CEO of the year.

The Ghana Finance Focus Forum & Awards is a platform powered by the Governance and Business Boardroom and RAD Communications, and is aimed at bringing together finance leaders, industry finance teams, government officials, policy formulators and implementers, players and stakeholders in the finance sector, development partners and industry players.

Receiving the awards on behalf of the company and himself, Mr Gota said the achievement would not have been possible “without my incredible team, which works tirelessly every day to impact Ghanaian society through our affordable and accessible insurance policies”.

He described the company’s progress as an “incredible journey” and used the opportunity to thank his team and customers for their support.

Going forward, he said it was aYo’s vision that “we have a future in which every Ghanaian not only buys but also uses insurance, we will continue to provide improved aYo insurance policies that meet their needs and relieve financial strains on themselves, families, and society at large”.

aYo intermediaries started its work in Ghana five years ago and has made remarkable progress in this short period.

Staring with three employees, it now has more than 900 employees on its books. As of February 2023, aYo has paid out Ghs12,674,527 claims to over 36,676 policyholders and beneficiaries.
