STAFF of Airtel Ghana, as part of their internal corporate social responsibility programme, called ‘Make a Difference Day’ (MADD), brought smiles and joy to the pupils and teachers of Himankrom Methodist Primary and Adaklu Abuadi Salvation Army School in the Western and Volta region respectively.
A total of 725 kids, aged from 2 years to 13 years in the above mentioned schools, were indulged by the visiting staff of Airtel in various activities. They took the pupils through a few lessons, sung nursery rhymes and danced with the elated pupils.
“This special Xmas activity is now in its 3rd year and we intend to continue for years to come. These children are close to our hearts. We want to make their engagement with our staff, even for a few hours, unforgettable. We made sure that the event would be fun-filled so they could always look back at the fond memories they had here,” said Donald Gwira, Head of Corporate Affairs at Airtel Ghana.
The headmistress of Adaklu Abuadi Salvation Army School, Ms. Regina Adjei and Mr. Kingsford Henaku of Himankrom Methodist Primary, both expressed their gratitude to Airtel for the kind gesture of putting smiles on the faces of the children this yuletide.
