Vivendi Africa Group Launches First High-speed Fiber-based Internet Offer

Paris, France,  October 27, 2017 – Vivendi Africa Group (GVA), a new player in the African telecommunications market, is launching its first CANALBOX high-speed fiber-based internet offer, in a commercial partnership with the CANAL + group.

 GVA invests in its own network and ensures its construction and operation. Broadband for the general public and businesses will revolutionize Internet access in Africa, according to officials of the company.

Already available in Libreville, the CANALBOX FTTH network (Fiber to the home) will soon be rolled out in several other African countries, they said.

GVA benefits from the strong expertise of the CANAL + group in Africa, relying on the power of the brand, a very important commercial network of stores and partners already distributing the products of the CANAL + group and a quality of premium service.

The technology deployed is that of FTTH – Fiber to the Home / optical fiber to the customer’s home – which guarantees subscribers high-quality internet quality.
