Visa-Free Africa Campaigners Grateful to Ghana’s High Commissioner to Liberia

Ras Mubarak

Monrovia, Liberia//-Campaigners of the Visa-Free Africa campaign, a ground-breaking initiative led by Ras Mubarak’s Trans Africa Tourism and Unity Campaign, have expressed gratitude to Ghana’s High Commissioner to Liberia, H.E. Godwin Amonzem, for hosting them.

In a short message, Mr Mubarak said: “With profound gratitude, we extend our deepest appreciation to H.E. Godwin Amonzem, Ghana’s High Commissioner to Liberia, for hosting an unforgettable dinner in my honour last night in Monrovia”.

Gathered with esteemed African Ambassadors and Diplomats, it was a powerful evening of brotherhood and shared vision. We seized the moment to passionately reiterate the urgent call: Africa must become a visa-free continent for all Africans by 2030 to unlock trade, tourism, opportunity, and true unity across our borders, he said.

This inspiring gathering followed highly productive high-level discussions with Liberia’s leadership, including:

  • H.E. Jeremiah Kpan Koung Sr., Vice President of Liberia
  • H.E. Sara Beysolow Nyanti, Minister for Foreign Affairs
  • H.E. Christine N. Umutoni, UN Resident Coordinator in Liberia
  • Ambassador Josephine Nkrumah, Resident Coordinator of ECOWAS in Liberia, and other distinguished senior Liberian government officials.

Touching on the ongoing campaign, Mr Mubarak noted: “Arriving by road, Liberia now marks the 30th country my team and I have visited on this historic Pan-African journey — campaigning relentlessly for visa-free travel for Africans by 2030”.

In a world of accelerating global shifts, the free movement of people and goods across our continent is no longer a dream — it’s an imperative for prosperity, integration, and collective strength, according to him.

“Africa must unite. The time is now”, Mr Mubarak, who is a former Ghanaian legislator, demanded.
