Veronica Wins Excellence in Strategic Communications Award at Impactful Women Award

Honouring impactful women in their various fields of endeavour under the Theme ‘celebrating and honouring the efforts of outstanding women across the globe’, Veronica Ofosuhemaa Owusu Ansah, a household name in communications has won the Excellence in Strategic Communications award at the Impactful Women Award.

 

She received a plaque and certificate as part of the award at the just-ended 6th Impactful Women Award held in Accra, Ghana.

Veronica is a result-oriented and passionate young lady always on the go to contribute her quota to enhancing brands from all kinds of industries.

She is a professional with over 10 years of experience which spans News Media, Digital Marketing and advertising, Telecommunications, Corporate Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility, Branding, Financial and Investment Services, Copywriting, Events, Stakeholder and Community Engagement, Consulting & facilitation of programs.

Speaking on the award, she expressed her gratitude to the award body for recognising her efforts in the various roles she plays and emphasised the need to do more.

Veronica Ofosuhemaa Owusu–Ansah, is currently the Advisor, Communications and Advocacy, Media, and partnership for Lyme Haue Limited where she leads in strategy, planning, development, and implementation of a large, communications campaign; and works with various partners Government, NGOs, and private sector, and communities to implement designed campaign and incorporate the campaign and themes of clients.

She also develops strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to elicit support for and maximize the impact of promotional objectives; and serves as a spokesperson/principal communications and advocacy liaison to media organizations, governmental bodies, private sector & organisations.

Veronica has worked with both local and multinational organisations such as Metropolitan Entertainment Television, TV Africa, Primus Advertising, Tigo Ghana, Group Ideal & Ideal Finance, and the Ghana Library Authority among others, by leading, managing, supporting, and serving in different capacities to provide integrated marketing communication functions to create business leads for the brands.

Through her numerous roles, Veronica has initiated and led successful campaigns that brought some award recognitions to these brands.

She is a game-changer with a record of accomplishments and awards such as being listed among the Top 10 Women in PR Ghana in 2022 and Winning the Woman of Excellence Marketing and Communications Award during the third edition of the National Communications Awards in 2021. She also emerged as the 4th Finalist for the Multinational/Pan Africa Positive Role Model West Africa Awards; and Gender Mainstreaming Awards in 2021 and was a 2019 IPR Discovery of the Year nominee.

She has worked with companies such as Metro TV as a Broadcast Journalist, Primus Advertising as a Senior Media and Client Service Executive, Tigo Ghana as a Communications Specialist, and Group Idea & Ideal Finance as a Lead for Media and Advertising.

She was also the Head of Brands at the rebranded TV Africa and Head of Corporate Affairs at the Ghana Library Authority and Quick Angels l/Quick Credit Limited.

Veronica holds a Master’s Degree in Development Communications from the Ghana Institute of Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Information Studies from the University of Ghana.

She has Professional Certificates in Advanced Public Relations, Annual Report Writing, and Strategic Communications and Marketing.

She is an accredited member of IPR (Institute of Public Relations Ghana), a member of Women in PR Ghana, and the Ghana Journalist Association (GJA).

She is a strategic leader who desires to impact lives and brands through communication.

The Impactful Women Award initiative is a group of young Africans who celebrate the efforts of women worldwide to make an impact in their respective fields of endeavour.
