Seed Funds to Open More Branches

BogThe Seed Funds, a leading microfinance company in Ghana is preparing feverishly to open four more branches in the Accra metropolis by the close of the year 2015.

The Divisional Head of Marketing of the Seed Funds, Derrick Ekwudzie-Odoom, who disclosed to African Eye News.com after the opening of the Ashaiman branch, mentioned the Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra, Nsawam in the Eastern Region, while other two are expected to be opened in the commercial hubs of Accra.

“After operating four branches in New Town, Cantonments, Tema Community 1, and now Ashaiman within a just year of our operations, while four branches are to be unveiled this year, we are poised to go beyond Accra next year.”

Mr Ekwudzie-Odoom explained that the savings and loans company’s rationale of opening the Ashaiman branch was to provide bespoke microfinance products and services to the businesses in the Ashaiman municipality.

He stated: “All kinds of businesses are welcomed to do business with us. We have the expertise to grow your money as well as your businesses in the shortest possible time”.

Unlike some microfinance institutions which have absconded with customers’ savings, the management of the Seed Funds assured all the customers of the leading non-banking financial institution that their deposits are saved and can be returned to them anytime, Mr Ekwudzie-Odoom emphasised.

Touching on the various products and services being offered by the Seed Funds, Divisional Head of Marketing of the Funds who deputised for the CEO at the branch opening event, mentioned current and saving accounts, Western Union and MoneyGram for remittances abroad, and MTN Mobile Money.

In his welcome address, the Head of Risk Management at the Seed Funds, Sitsofe Akwensivie maintained: “We are committed to bringing our products and services to the doorsteps of the people, hence our decision to open the Ashaiman and other branches”.

An Assistant Director at the Ashaiman Municipal Assembly, Suraju Faisal who represented the Municipal Chief Executive of the assembly, Ibrahim Baidoo, thanked the Seed Funds for the trust they have re-imposed in the municipality by opening the Ashaiman branch.
