MTN Ghana on Thursday apologized to its subscribers following last night network glitch which interrupted telecom services in the country.
In the late hours of last evening, subscribers of the telecom network were unable to make calls, text messages, or browse the internet. This led some subscribers to vent their anger on the network glitch on social media especially on Facebook.
But in a statement issued in Accra today by the MTN Ghana, it apologized sincerely to customers who were impacted by a network outage that occurred last night, 14 December, 2016.
The outage was the result of a technical Internet Protocol problem affecting some of our sites which disrupted voice and data services, according to the statement issued by Mrs Cynthia Lumor, Corporate Services Executive of MTN Ghana.
“MTN Engineers worked quickly to resolve the problem and were able to fully restore the affected sites in less than two hours. Our engineers continue to work hard to isolate the root cause and put measures in place to prevent reoccurrence. We will provide further update in the course of the day.
We wish to apologize once again to our customers for the inconvenience. MTN remains committed to providing reliable services to its cherished customers”.
