On this occasion of the La Homowo festival, MTN Ghana wished the chiefs and people of La, long life and prosperity. We will ensure that during the festive period, our products and services are available for all those who need them, Mrs Walsh assured.
“We hope our support in these areas will help make the celebration a memorable one. On behalf of the management and staff of MTN Ghana, I would like to thank Your Royal Highness, Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II for the invitation and the warm reception. We thank you once again for your continued support to the MTN brand”.
Mrs Walsh said: “As an organization of African origin, MTN is a company that fully acknowledges the role of culture in our development. Given this, each year MTN Ghana commits resources and partners with several Traditional Councils across the country to promote the Ghanaian Culture through festival celebrations”.

Experience Centres
To provide a distinct customer experience during the celebration, MTN Ghana according to her would set up experience centres at vantage points to attend to customers and address their challenges.
“We hope that through this festival we will be able to strengthen our relationship with our customers in this area and help resolve some of the customer issues. In addition, we seek an opportunity to do some education on Mobile Money (MoMo) fraud, buying and using pre-registered SIM cards. We all have to help educate our cherished customers on the benefits of keeping their phones, wallets and numbers safe”.
Verification of SIM Numbers
More importantly, MTN Ghana is requesting its customers to verify and confirm the SIM numbers linked to their Ghana card by dialling *402#. After confirming the numbers, customers should kindly report unauthorized numbers linked to their Ghana card for delinking and deactivation, she urged.
Network Upgrade
Mrs Walsh also used the opportunity to inform the La Traditional Council that MTN Ghana is upgrading the network across the country. The network upgrade started in June 2024 and is expected to end in September 2024.
The upgrade she explained involves the replacement of existing mobile network infrastructure with more efficient and environmentally friendly equipment.
“This upgrade will ensure that we have a more reliable and robust network and help to achieve network virtualization and increased capacity for optimum service delivery”.
