MTN Ghana CEO Pays Courtesy Visit To SA’s Minister at AU) Executive Council Meeting

Accra, Ghana//-MTN Ghana CEO, Stephen Blewett paid a courtesy visit to the South African Minister of Department of International Relations and Cooperation, Honourable Minister Ronald Lamola Lamola, on the sidelines of the 45th Ordinary Session of the African Union (AU) Executive Council in Accra, Ghana.

Mr Lamola congratulated MTN on its investments and commitment to Ghana. He asked that the company continue to invest and support the people of Ghana through socio-economic development programs and digital solutions.

Mr Lamola commended the company on the work of the Foundation and Y’ello Care activities.

“As we celebrate our 30th anniversary this year, we remain committed to empowering Ghanaian youth, bridging the digital divide, and accelerating sustainable development, instilling hope, and optimism for the future”, Mr Blewett assured.

The meeting highlighted MTN’s dedication to fostering partnerships and collaborations that promote economic growth and development in Ghana and beyond.

The CEO, guest and the Minister

Instructively, Mr Blewett took over from Selorm Adadevoh as the CEO of MTN Ghana in May 2024 and has since been leading the telecom giant’s efforts to expand digital inclusion, deepen financial inclusion, and support Ghana’s economic development.

Another thing that is on his plate is to sustain the growth of the MTN in all services including data, voice, digital and mobile money.
