
Accra, Ghana//-The Founder and CEO of Maggie Wealthy Foundation, Ms Margaret Tekpor has won the coveted ‘Ghana Outstanding Woman NGO of the Year’ award at the 6th Ghana Outstanding Women Awards (GOWA).
The event, which celebrates the achievements and contributions of remarkable women across various fields, saw her beating eight competitors to win the award held at the Accra International Conference Centre on 10 September 2023.
The star-studded event was described as a night to honour and celebrate the outstanding contribution of corporate women to society.
Ms Tekpor’s accolades reflect her exceptional dedication and commitment to her philanthropic and advocacy work.

She has been instrumental in supporting Osu-based Shelter for Abused Children, improving the well-being of children, and the aged, and empowering female teenagers, among others.
The 6th GOWA recognised Ms. Tekpor’s outstanding achievements in the areas of philanthropy and social advocacy.
Her ability to successfully balance a high-profile corporate role at Christian Medical Centre and Laboratory Services with her relentless efforts to uplift the lives of marginalised children and the vulnerable especially girls and women has been exemplary.

Receiving the award, Ms Tekpor who is known on social media as Maggie Wealthy is an HR/ Admin of Christian Medical Centre and Laboratory Services, expressed gratitude and commitment to continuing her mission of creating positive change in the lives of abused children, the disabled, the underprivileged women, and girls across the country.
