Accra, Ghana//-Team Cookie has won the Gino Ghana Jollof competition with a sumptuous assorted jollof with goat and chicken pieces paired with prawn stirfry and an apple-shrimp salad.
Team Cookie which is made up of the Northern Region’s Teiya; Nyarkoah of Western Region; Tiwaa of Ahafo Region; Aiko of Oti Region; and Naa Ahema of Greater Accra Region-all contestants of the 2022 Ghana’s Most Beautiful (2022 GMB).
They were closely followed by Team Berla which has Bono East Region’s Takyiwaa, Central Region’s Aseidua, Bono Region’s Owusuwaa, Eastern Region’s Amoani and Savanna Region’s Hariya, headed by Berla Mundi. Team Berla pulled second with their Ghana jollof with a gizzard sauce and peppered snail sauce accompanying a special apple-potato-chicken salad.
Team Chrystal came 3rd with Chrystal Aryee, Xornam (Volta Region), Afrah (Western-North Region), Anaba (Upper East Region), Agbang (Upper West Region) and Kessewaa (Ashanti Region). The team presented the judges with a delicious plate of Ghana beef jollof with a dash of scotch bonnet pepper sauce paired with peppered beef sauce, kelewele and Gino baked beans coleslaw.
